International Sales Consultant

Reports To: International Director

Physical Base: 18 Holborn, London, EC1N 2LE

Working Hours: The job is a full-time role with no limits to the uppermost working hours. Normal working hours will be 37.5 hours per week. Working extra hours does not entitle you to compensation.

Holidays: 25 annual leave days & 8 Bank Holidays (3 annual leave days to be retained and taken during the Christmas closure)

Job Purpose

  • Drive new business opportunities by identifying overseas project opportunities with UK based Architects and Interior designers
  • To secure Project Specifications
  • Deliver profitable sales and contribute to the overall business sales targets
  • Deliver a sufficient level of orders to meet the defined sales and profitability targets



  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Follow up International project sales leads
  • Influence hardware specifications using the Allgood product portfolio
  • Prepare bids for major overseas projects
  • Take responsibility for tracking all projects and outstanding quotes from design and specification stage through to negotiation and procurement
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training workshops and reviewing professional publications
  • Carry out overseas visits where necessary in order to secure project orders
  • Prepare market/ trip reports following overseas travel
  • Maintain the company’s customer relationship management database system
  • Prepare project sales revenue forecasts and sales activity report on a monthly basis
  • Prepare annual sales budget forecasts
  • Assist with marketing initiatives
  • Attend overseas exhibitions when required
  • Provide holiday and travel cover for other members of the International sales team

Relevant Experience

  • Specification sales and negotiation skills
  • Good technical skills, with building materials background

Relevant Education

  • Minimum GCSE/”O” Level Maths and English
  • GAI Diploma (preferred but not essential)
