Our People and Purpose

Meet the people who drive Allgood and the values that guide us.

Ever since our family-owned business opened in 1948, we have worked with architects, interior designers, builders and joiners to provide architectural ironmongery, hardware, washroom equipment, door automation and access control equipment for buildings where quality matters.

We help our customers choose the right products for every door and room in a building, a process that requires technical expertise, a commitment to detail and long term thinking. Our teams know how to listen to customers and understand the responsibility we have for every product we supply.

Knowledge runs through our business. From specification and technical advice to product design, manufacturing, project delivery and customer service, our teams work in unison to provide dependable solutions and lasting support. This shared knowledge shapes how we solve problems, support projects and build long term relationships with customers.

We are proud to have a culture where people learn, progress and build lasting careers. Many of our colleagues have grown with Allgood for decades, bringing experience, specialist knowledge and a strong sense of accountability for their work.

If you like the sound of a close knit, family owned business, then please read on. We are interested in meeting anyone who would like to be part of a team that cares about building quality, seeks fulfilment through work, and has the humility and ambition to learn and grow with us.

Ben Parsons

Operations Manager

“I joined Allgood at 17 as Allgood Manufacturing’s first apprentice, and it has been my only job since leaving school. I spent time across the business before getting the opportunity to work on the machines, where I quickly realised engineering was the direction I wanted to pursue. I was fortunate to learn from experienced colleagues who took the time to share their knowledge and helped me build my understanding of tooling, machining and problem solving.

Allgood supported me through qualifications, night school, a Foundation Degree and a degree in Manufacturing Engineering at Aston University. As my knowledge grew, so did my responsibilities, from toolmaking and CNC programming to development work, training apprentices and leading teams. I now oversee Manufacturing, Warehousing and Product Development as Operations Manager. The trust placed in people here has given me the opportunity to keep learning, take ownership and build a career within the business.”
