Working in close collaboration with architect Feliden Clegg Bradley Studios and contractors Emery Brothers Ltd, Allgood provided a complete ironmongery specification throughout, while Allgood Secure designed and installed a security and access control system that met with the client’s requirements.

James Sibson RIBA AABC, lead Architect from Feliden Clegg Bradley Studios, commented:

“The Allgood team brought expertise in the manufacture and selection of ironmongery and security system that suited the special quality of the early Georgian interior while also meeting the operational needs of the House of St Johns’. Allgood’s expertise in ironmongery and an extensive range of high-quality security products ensured there was continuity in the overall appearance of the project.”

The Modric range in a Spectra bronze finish was chosen throughout the building as its timeless aesthetic and elegant simplicity matched the architect’s vision for the space. Our Holt range was also fitted onto the lower ground floor communal doors and shower rooms. Made from European oak, Holt’s super circular design provides a welcoming, warm to the touch feel that suited the design intent to provide welcoming spaces.

Allgood Secure designed a comprehensive security specification for this project, including an access control system, CCTV, and a video intercom system. All of this was backed up with powerful cloud-based software, Brivo Access, giving the staff full visibility across the site and allowing them to lock and unlock doors remotely. The system was also integrated with House of St Johns’ room booking system, meaning members can unlock meeting rooms themselves using their access credentials.

A key part of the security system was the installation of Eagle Eye cloud-hosted CCTV cameras. These cameras are fully integrated with the Brivo Access platform, allowing the team to view the live video feeds from anywhere and with ease. All of this is backed up with expertly selected and fitted electronic locks and ironmongery from the wider Allgood team, ensuring all doors are compliant with the relevant fire, escape and accessibility criteria.

Andrew Jobson, Technical Director, Allgood Secure, added:

“House of St Johns’ has been thoughtfully renovated to create a modern, stylish, and functional space fit for today’s flexible working environment. We designed and installed a security system that performs to the highest level, is easy for the team to manage and matches the building’s aesthetic while remaining largely unseen within the Georgian setting.”
